The person behind the work.
I'm a mechanical engineer who discovered that the same problem-solving mindset applies beautifully to data and AI. Here's a bit more about who I am, what drives me, and what I've learned along the way.
From Pune to Rotterdam, by way of Sheffield and Eindhoven.
I grew up in India, studied mechanical engineering at COEP in Pune, and then headed to the University of Sheffield for my Master's. It was there, surrounded by industrial management coursework, that I started seeing data as the connective tissue of every system.
My PDEng at TU/e was the turning point. Working with Woonbedrijf on energy renovations, I built my first real data product — a choice model that understood what tenants actually wanted. That project taught me that the best analytics isn't about the fanciest algorithm; it's about asking the right questions and making the answer accessible.
Since then, I've been on a steady trajectory: from ETL workflows and Power BI dashboards at RoyalHaskoningDHV, to leading AI initiatives at FrieslandCampina. Along the way, I've learned that engineering is engineering — whether you're optimising a supply chain, a data pipeline, or a large language model.

A bit of a polyglot.
Growing up in India gave me a head start with languages. Living in the Netherlands is adding new ones to the mix.

What I do for fun.
Curiosity doesn't clock out at 5pm. Here are some things that keep me busy outside of work.
Web Scraping & Market Intelligence
I build scrapers to answer random questions — like "What's the average price of a Tesla Model 3 Performance on Marktplaats?" It's my way of staying sharp with Python and turning curiosity into data.
AI & Open Source Exploration
I'm fascinated by the privacy implications of AI. I experiment with locally-hosted open-source LLMs, exploring how organisations can leverage AI without sending sensitive data to third parties.
Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing
From Formula Student racing teams to junior colleagues at work, I've always enjoyed helping others grow. There's something deeply satisfying about seeing someone connect the dots for the first time.
